By placing an order on ougist.com, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the following return, refund, and cancellation policies. Your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities.

Order Cancellation & Adjustments

We understand that plans change. We offer flexibility for order modifications before your items leave our warehouse:

  • Before Shipment: We accept full order cancellations and address adjustments free of charge, provided that the product has not yet been processed for shipping or produced. If you need to make any immediate changes to your order, please email our support desk at support@ougist.com.
  • After Shipment: Once an order has been handed over to our shipping carriers, we cannot cancel or modify the order. You will need to follow our standard return process after the package arrives.

30-Day Return Window & Eligibility

To give you complete peace of mind, our return policy lasts 30 days from the date of delivery. If 30 days have gone by since you received your item, we unfortunately cannot offer you a refund or replacement.

To ensure strict safety, liability, and federal transit compliance, items must meet the following criteria to be eligible for a return:

  • Unused & Fully Sealed: The product must be in the exact condition you received it—unworn, unused, with all safety pull-pins, commercial seals, and tamper-evident tabs 100% intact.
  • Original Packaging: The item must be returned in its original, undamaged retail packaging.
  • Proof of Purchase: A valid order number or receipt from ougist.com is required.
  • 🚨 Critical Safety Restriction: For legal and public safety reasons, any fire extinguisher that has been discharged (even partially) or has had its safety pin removed/tamper seal broken is strictly non-returnable, unless documented as Defective on Arrival.

Additional Non-Returnable Items

The following items are completely exempt from being returned or refunded:

  • Used, unsealed, or discharged fire safety equipment.
  • Products damaged due to improper storage (such as vehicle glove-box exposure exceeding certified temperatures) or customer misuse.
  • Custom-labeled or personalized commercial safety bundles.
  • Gift cards and downloadable digital certificates.

The Return & Hazmat Restriction Process

To initiate a formal return, you must contact our support team first at support@ougist.com.

  • ⚠️ CRITICAL HAZMAT SHIPPING NOTICE: Because fire extinguishers contain pressurized dry chemicals, they are classified as Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) under U.S. Federal Law. They cannot be dropped off at standard postal mailboxes, FedEx/UPS drop-boxes, or regular uncertified courier counters. Doing so carries severe legal penalties.

If your return is approved, our team will provide you with specific, compliant documentation and specialized HAZMAT shipping instructions. Do not send any items back to our address without prior written authorization from our team.

Shipping Costs & Damage Claims

Defective or Damaged Upon Arrival (100% Covered): If your product arrives damaged due to transportation issues (e.g., a cracked nozzle, low pressure reading on the gauge, or a broken factory seal), Ougist will handle it immediately at zero cost to you. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at support@ougist.com with photo evidence. We will gladly arrange a 100% Free Replacement (Resend) or issue a Full Refund, covering all return shipping and specialized HAZMAT handling costs.

  • Change of Mind: For standard returns (buyer’s remorse or ordering the wrong size/model), the customer is responsible for arranging and paying for the return shipping costs, including any mandatory HAZMAT courier service fees required by law.

Refund Processing Timeline

Once your return package is received, unboxed, and inspected by our safety compliance team, we will send you an email notifying you of its receipt and whether your refund has been approved or rejected based on seal integrity.

If approved, your refund will be processed immediately, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original credit card or method of payment within 7 to 10 business days. (Please note that banking institutions may take additional processing days to formally reflect the credit on your statement).
